August is OVER???
What do you mean August is over? Summer is over? How can that be? Well, I'm very behind in my blogging - so I'm going to get caught up with the August activies and then I'll do another post later with a September update.
We were very busy in August traveling. We did our annual trip to Long Island to visit the McLaughlin family. Below is a picture of the 3 boys taken at a playground near Aunt Beth's house.
And here are the boys with Aunt Beth after just feeding the ducks and swans.
Grandma McLaughlin is below with Connor and Patrick.
August also marked the beginning of FOOTBALL SEASON!!! Both Liam and Connor are playing tackle football this year. This is Connor's "rookie" year, and this is Liam's second year. Here the boys are striking a tough guy pose...
And here they are looking a little happier. Liam is totally making an "Adam face".
We ended our summer with a big trip out to northern Minnesota, International Falls to be specific. Just Liam, Connor and mom made this trip. Patrick and dad stayed home - maybe next year they will go too.
Grandpa & Grandma Larkin have a cabin on a lake and fun boat. We fished and went everwhere on the boat. Connor was very impressed with the ability to go to a restaurant by boat and began to question every where we went with "Are we going by boat?" Below Grandpa is explaining how is GPS / fish finder system works.
Grandpa lets Liam take the wheel!
Here's Grandpa and Connor - I believe this was the night that we took the boat to go to a restaurant.
We caught a total of 11 fish (7 Northerns, 5 small mouth bass and 1 walleye). Below is Liam with his first fish, a northern.
We also went out with a fishing guide, Woody. Here's Connor and Woody with Connor's nice small mouth bass.
